Well hello there!
I feel like I just emailed like three days ago. Because I did...Haha but not p-days are back to normal!
Anyway,
last night was....MOVES CALLS!! So tomorrow is transfers.Normally they
are on Wednesdays but they don't want missionaries traveling on New
Years Eve. Not safe. Haha. :) But! This is going to be the best transfer
ever. I really CANNOT believe I have already been here 6 weeks! It has
gone by so so fast. So, for moves calls, we all have a conference call
with our zone. The zone leaders then say where everyone is going. But we
never know when the call will come so we all anxiously wait by the
phone. So last night the call didn't come until about
10:20.
And we had call-ins at like 9:35ish. So we stayed on the phone with the
Elders while we waited and played a fun little thinking game called
"He's perfect but..." It was really funny. We have the best district!
Anyway. Finally the call came....we were kind of expecting Sister Beck
to leave because she has been in Hyde Park 2 for 4 transfers!
But...............She is staying!!! For her 5th transfer! Haha so we are
staying together! And then Sister Van Der Leek and Sister Pagofie are
staying in Hyde Park 1, so nothing in our flat changes. :) We are losing
Elder David, one of the zone leaders, but other than that our whole
district is the same! How cool. :)
Haha there isn't much to say
since it's been three days....but I still love London! That hasn't
changed and probably never will. :)
Yesterday we taught an
awesome lesson to the guy we met on Christmas Eve, Dapo. A member,
Vanessa, came with us. She is incredible! :) Anyway, we taught him the
Restoration. He has a ton of questions. Some we have no idea how to
answer...haha but he seems genuinely interested in learning! He won't
come to church or read quite yet, he says he just wants to talk for now.
But you can tell that he is really thinking about it!
Saturday night, Sister Beck and I stopped at a little convenience store to grab some cookies for an activity
on Sunday.
We were looking around and guess who walked in! President Jordan and
his family!! Haha it was really funny! Then, as President was paying, he
asked the cashier if he had seen us before. He said yes, and then
President asked if we had given him a card and he said no....oops! Haha
so that was a nice reminder to always be talking to everyone! So we then
stuck up a conversation and gave him the card. :)
Saturday
night we had a little adventure, they are doing some work on the tubes
and so the Jubilee line wasn't running. We didn't know this, and we were
going to a members house for dinner. So we got to where we would change
lines and realized we were stuck. So we frantically ran all around
Baker Street to try and find a bus that would take us to Abbey Road. We
saw one coming and we literally had to CHASE it down the street to the
bus stop so it didn't leave it. That was fun. :) But we made it! Now
here is the best part....the members live on ABBEY
ROAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So yes. Abbey Road is in our area. And yes, I
fangirled hardcore. Yes, I love the Beatles. Yes. Yes yes! :)
Well, there isn't much to say.
Just
know that I love you all and am praying for you each and everyday.
Missions are beautiful, hard, frustrating, exhausting, and the best
decision I have ever made. I can't imagine life anywhere else, except
London, England. I wish I could better convey my love for the people,
city, and work. I know that this is where the Lord needs me and that
this is His work. :)
Love always,
Sister Heather Glena Moody
