Hello Everyone!
This week has been grand! P-Day, we chilled in Camden Town,
looking at cool things and eating KFC. Then we had a lesson with Angela! It
went really well. She is progressing so much. :) I love her! Then we had an FHE
with a less-active, Sandra, and her son. It was really good! Sandra is so
sweet, and she really opened up to us. :)
Monday night, before Sandra, we had
the craziest thing happen. We were on the bus, going to her house, when we
realised that we hadn't downloaded the video we needed! But we were on a bus,
and the buses don't have WiFi...but, we checked anyway. And randomly, this
little guy appeared named "wifi", with just enough strength for us to
download the video. And then, while we had already gotten off the bus, and were
on the street, we still had it! For just enough time to make sure everything
was set for the lesson. I'm not saying that we had divine WiFi or anything, but
I just know that God works in mysterious ways. ;)
Tuesday, we had district meeting! I gave a training on
Diligence. :) Then we had lunch before shift with the Ashby's! Man, they are so
great. And the meal included potatoes and bacon. So, I was happy. ;) Ah, just
quick moment to rave about how much I love the senior couples we serve around!
The Ashbys, the Cardalls, and the Neeleys (who came last week) are just so
amazing!! I truly feel SO blessed to be able to serve with them. :) I love
them!
Wednesday, was an AMAZING VC day. We felt like the past few
days had been a little slower, so we made a goal to go finding on Exhibition
Road, and bring some people in. But, we didn't have the time! So much happened.
First, we had the sweetest person come in. (for privacy, I'll call her 'C'). C
has been less-active for a while, but felt the push to come back. She is from
the States, but is in London visiting some family. She came in, and we greeted
her, and began to talk. She opened up and told us about some bad experiences
she had had, that caused her to leave the church. My heart just ached for her
as we talked. The amount of love I felt for her, was not just my own, but was
God's love for her. She is just a chosen, and special daughter of god. We
talked for quite sometime, with the spirit so strong, you could almost feel it.
We got her email, and told her that we would be her support system in London,
as she began to return to church. Fast forward to Saturday, and we have a
WONDERFUL email from her. She is just, ah-mazing! As we were typing a
reply, we looked on the camera, and saw that she had just come back in and was
having a wonderful, and much needed, conversation with Elder Ashby! She told us
that she feels like God is telling her that the next step for her, is coming
back to church. We confirmed it and told her that we loved her, and God loved
her. It's amazing as a missionary, to be able to feel that kind of love for
someone. It's like, you love them so much it hurts! But really, I have never
felt like this before. The love I have for the people, place, work, everything.
It's simply God's love, shown through me. That's missionary work. Inviting
others to come unto Christ, by bringing them God's love. :)
Then later on Wednesday, we had another lesson with Angela.
She is incredible. No, she's not the "golden" investigator, but she
is prepared. It was similar to our experience with C. The amount of love we
felt was indescribable. She had texted us earlier that she didn't feel like she
was receiving answers, and didn't want to be baptised anymore. So needless to
say, we were nervous. But we taught the first half of the Plan of Salvation
(Pre-Earth to the Atonement) and she really took it in. We helped her recognize
that what she was feelings, was the Holy Ghost giving her answers. We talked to
her more about baptism and re-set a date for the 15th of August, but she asked
if she could move it earlier, if she felt ready. :) She's amazing! We were
talking to her step-dad (who is a member) on Sunday, and he thanked us for
teaching her. We love her, and we'll never give up on her. :)
So do you remember the man I mentioned from South Korea last
week? He came back! He just wanted to sit in the Chapel and pray. It was so
wonderful. :)
Thursday, we had lunch with Rose and Michael, as usual. :)
And as we were talking to Michael, he said that he had gotten Angela's number,
so he could text her and ask her if she had been reading, praying, etc...and to
just see how she is doing. He is amazing!! He has only been baptised since
April, but he acts like he's been a member his whole life. We love him. :)
WELL! News time. It's transfers week and.....I'M STAYING IN
WHITECHAPEL WITH SISTER GRIFFETH!!!! I am SO happy. Prayers are answered. ;)
But really, I'm so excited and ready for this next transfer. It's going to be
filled with miracles. :) Also, I've been called to be one of the 2 VC trainers
with Sister Phillips. :) I'm so grateful for this opportunity I have to serve
the sisters, and continue to grow as a missionary. I love it here. :)
Well! I have a lot of pictures to send, but no time to send
them. So next week, expect A TON. ;) Love you all! Thanks for your prayers and
support. :)
Love xx
Sister Moody
