NINE MONTHS? WHO SAID IT HAS BEEN NINE MONTHS?

Yo.

This week was great. :) Last P-Day, Sister Griffeth and I just kinda roamed around, napped, and briefly went into the Natural History museum. :) It was a much needed and relaxing day. :) Then that evening we went to go find a less-active sister with the Relief Society President, Sister Billing. We prayed, then buzzed, and no answer, buzzed again, and no answer, then someone came out of the building, so we just went in and walked to her flat, knocked, and she answered!! She is super sweet. We had a nice chat and hopefully we will be seeing her again. :)

Honestly, the next few days are just a blur and whirlwind! So here are some of the highlights.

Tuesday! We were back in the office, doing online proselyting, when I looked on the CCV camera and saw some familiar faces. So I ran out, and sure enough, there was my sister and her family!!!! :D So that was wonderful! I gave them a tour, and we talked before they headed off. (They were in England seeing my brother-in-law's parents). That was such a tender mercy. :) Afterward, Elder Cardall commented about the synergy that he could see. And I realised how true it is. Being on a mission has made me 10x more grateful for my family, and the eternal nature of families. We WILL be together forever, no doubt about it, and that fact makes me rejoice, because my family means everything to me.

Wednesday was my HALF WAY MARK. 9 WHOPPIN' MONTHS OF BEING A MISSIONARY. WHAT?! Life. What is it? Haha but really. We celebrated by doing missionary work and eating at my favourite place, Pret-A-Manger. :)

So one of the biggest highlights this week was JOHN. I mentioned him last week, and this week he has just grasped on so tightly to the Gospel. It's been amazing. He came in on Tuesday, and was able to receive a blessing. Afterward, we showed him the Restoration, and talked to him about it. He has had a rough life, but he wants this so bad. He had tears and you could tell how sincere he is. I have never felt the Spirit as strongly as I did when we were talking to him. We then invited him to be baptised on August 29th, and he hurriedly accepted. He comes into the VC almost everyday, and has now watched almost every video. We teach him every time he comes in. He is so great! The Spirit is strong with this one. :) Then, we were talking to him right before he was leaving, and he mentioned how he knew that he could had to give up Coca Cola before his baptism, so he would try, we just smiled and reassured him that he was okay. He got really excited, but then still said he wanted to stop drinking Coca Cola so much haha. :) He always talks about how excited he is, and he came to church! He came in, and sat down, and really loved all the testimonies, then he talked to Michael afterward for a while. (Michael is one of the best member missionaries. He was baptised in April and has no problem telling everyone how happy it made him.:)) Then Bishop came up to meet John, and John introduced himself as "Hi, I'm John, I'm really happy to be here and am glad to talk to Michael, who was baptised in April, because I'm getting baptised on the 29th." He also introduced himself to the Elders Quorum as "being baptised." Needless to say, he is excited. :) Ahhhhh I just love being a missionary!

Saturday we had a ward picnic in Hyde Park. :) That was so much fun!! I absolutely LOVE the Whitechapel Ward. :) So friendly, fun, and everything! We talked to a member, Giovanni, for a long time. He is from Sicily, and works with the top 50 models from around the world. He's like some big wig in the Fashion Industry. Yeah. Anyways, as soon as Sister Griffeth told him that she was from Preston, Idaho, where Napoleon Dynamite was filmed, he FREAKED OUT. I have never met someone who loves that movie as much as he does. It was the funniest thing. So we talked about the Gospel messages of Napoleon Dynamite for an hour. :)

We weren't able to see Angela or Kemi this week, but have been in contact. We will see them this week. :)

K, the miracle from last week has been going through a rough time and dropped us, but we wil keep trying. It's hard. Missionary work is hard. But I love it and I love the Gospel and I just love life. :)

Church was amazing. And we had a dinner appointment with the most wonderful family afterward, the Okunghaes. I LOVE THEM. The Spirit was SO strong in their home, I felt like I was home. We shared a message about families and just, ah, the Spirit was indescribable. :)

So this week I have really been reflecting on the past 9 months, and I realised how much I have truly changed and become fully converted. I love this Gospel, and nothing that happens will ever shake that. I KNOW that this is Christ's church restored in these Latter-Days, through Joseph Smith, and that Jesus Christ stands at the head. I know the Book of Mormon is TRUE. I know President Monson is a true prophet of God. I'm just so grateful to be able to speak and teach about this truth each and every day. :) I leave this with you all in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. :)

Love you all! Thank you for everything.
