Well hello!
Sorry, I've running out of time so
this will have to be a bit shorter.
This week was good! Had it's ups and
downs, but ended with conference so THAT was amazing. :) I honestly don't
remember what we really did and when we did it, so here are the highlights. :)
We had a great lesson with Angela,
finally!! She's been pretty ill, but is doing better. We had a lesson in which
we watched Sister Wixom's talk from the Women's Session. We were pretty
straight forward with her, in a loving way. The spirit was strong and we were
all a bit choked up. I really love Angela, and can't wait to see how she
progresses.
So we got this crazy text from this
person named Harry. I guess he is a religious prefect at his college and has
been studying The Book of Mormon and is considering baptism?! But he wants 30
copies of The Book of Mormon to give to his class. He said he wants to educate
people on it, so that they know what is out there! So that was crazy!! We have
NO idea how he got our number, but we won't complain! We will see him this next
week and see what happens. :)
We have this wonderful online
investigator, who is just the sweetest person ever! We asked him to pray before
watching conference, and he typed it up so that we could see haha. :) He is
great! He loves the Gospel so much, we just need to get him to meet with
missionaries in his area. :)
We had dinner with Michael, and
another member, Katie. That was really delicious! Haha he made us real Jamaican
stewed beef and it was SO good. We also had a great lesson based on the article
"The Harmless Little Fern" in the Ensign. I HIGHLY suggest it! It is really
great.
We were travelling into Pimlico, and
the bus stop we were supposed to get off at was closed. Not usually a big deal,
because we can just get off at the next one and walk back, right? WRONG. The
next stop was OVER THE RIVER. As in, not even our mission! Haha so we were
accidentally rebellious. :)
Zone meeting was on Thursday!! We
also played this game where we had to ask questions and throw a ball around,
but if you answered the question, took longer than 2 seconds, or used the same
question, you were out. And needless to say, I won. ;) WOOT! But it was REALLY
great! The zone leaders gave a great training on Agency and Inspiration. Elder
Steuer said something that I loved. He was talking about change, and he said
the true change will burn and hurt, but the end result will be worth anything.
How true that is! Submitting our will is not easy, either. But it's the only
way to accomplish anything worthwhile.
And then, conference!!! Man, it was
like Christmas! I'm so happy. I love being able to hear from the apostles and
prophets. They are truly men called by God. I'm SO grateful for the opportunity
to sustain out leaders and listen to their messages. I don't know if I can pick
a favourite talk...but I loved how so many of them talked about submitting our
will, and just buckling down and becoming the person God sees us becoming. He
knows best, and it's okay if we're not perfect, as long as we are doing our
best.
Well! I love you all! Next week is
transfers, so P-day will be on Tuesday! I've been in Whitechapel for 6 months
so we will see what happens... :)
Have a great week!!
-Sister Moody :)
