Hello! This week in London has been wonderful. I really just
love London!!
On Wednesday, we went to the Ali's house for dinner, it was so great!
They have the cutest boys and one of them showed us allllllll of his
trucks. :) Sister Ali is also theeee bestest and for dessert she
brought out these 4 delicious looking cakes. And then looked at me and
said "Don't worry, the last 3 are completely gluten free. I wanted to
show you that you CAN have happiness." It was the best!!!! Haha :)
Then we had an appointment with a member referral. Wilson, our ward
mission leader, has a friend who's mum wanted a Book of Mormon. So we
took one to her! It was great. We had a good lesson and were able to
bear testimony of the Plan of Salvation. She was hesitant to give us
her mobile number, but we will keep in contact with her through
Wilson. She wants to come to church so we will push for that. :)
Thursday, we had an appointment with an investigator and she wanted a
blessing. So Michael was able to come and give his first one!! It was
a tender experience, and helped Lorraine feel a lot of peace. :)
Michael was sooo nervous but he did great. Then afterward, he came
with us to our other investigators house, whom we think is a hoarder.
She's not very committed, so we will see her again this week and go
from there.
Friday, we had a lesson with Leah and reviewed the first 3 lessons.
She is so good! She's only ten, but she's been reading in the Book of
Mormon and loves it, and is just a JOY to be around. :) They also have
this killer dog, but she let us pet her. So there could be some
potential there. ;)
Then we finally had a lesson with Angela!! (she has been on holiday)
and it was honestly one of the most powerful lessons I've been in. We
were able to bear testimony of the Atonement and how the Gospel is
what she needs. She's committed to pray about baptism on the 13th of
February! She is sooooo good. She just needs to recognise her answers.
Prays for her would be much appreciated! :)
Saturday we had our VC meeting, and it was a breakfast for the
Cardalls. (They go home on Friday ðŸ˜) Ah they have been my parents and
confidants, and heroes and examples. I will miss them SO SO much.
Afterward we had zone meeting!! I was a lot of fun, and really
spiritual. I love zone meetings. And let's be real, the London North
zone is the best!! (And I'm not just saying that because I've been
here for almost 7 transfers. ;))
So remember the miracle Justina from last week? Well we hadn't had ANY
contact from her and we were SO worried. But then she texted us and
told us that she got really sick and was staying with a friend! She
should be back this week, so whew! We were so worried. :)
Sunday was great!! Lorraine came for the first time and enjoyed it. :)
also, Hollie came!! (Hollie has been investigating for a while, and
has recently started coming back) She is amazing, and has a stronger
testimony then most members. We're seeing her on Wednesday and I'm so
excited. :) then afterward we had dinner at Roses, and guess who was
there?? The former Sister Gjevik!! She came for a visit and it was SO
good to see her again. :)
We found a new investigator online, and she is great! She is hesitant
right now, but really sincere so we will see how it goes. :) Also,
Sister D's Polish investigator finally met with the missionaries and
is going to be baptised in February!! Woohoo!!!! We also showed "God's
Plan" so much and I just love that film. Also, this Italian man came
into the VC, and we had a GREAT tour with him, where we talked a lot
about the Book of Mormon. Basically, I just LOVE the VC. :)
Well! That's it for this week. I love you all!! The Saviours love is
real. Never forget that. I love the Gospel and know it is true. :)
