NEW TRANSFER, NEW AREA, NEW COMPANION

Hello everyone!
This has honestly been one of the best weeks of my life. After 9.5 months in one area, it's been really refreshing to learn about another! And Hyde Park 1 is AMAZING! It has just been a great week.
Wednesday was the first day of the new transfer, and it was great! We were on at the VC first, and were able to give quite a few really solid and good tours. Sister Kerr is great and I really love teaching with her. That night we had correlation, and I was able to meet the ward mission leader and assistant ward mission leader. They are great, and I just knew I would love serving here. :)
Thursday was a bit dysfunctional haha. We started out with weekly planning, but it ended up taking wayy longer than expected, and we didn't finish. Then we had district meeting, which was really good. Elder Cook gave a training about following through on your plans, because when you make a plan, it's setting appointments with God, and if we don't want investigators to cancel, we shouldn't cancel on the Lord either. It was really good! Then Elder Martin gave a training on finding prepared people, and he had a box of jelly beans and told us all to take one and tell him if it was "prepared" or not. But you couldn't tell until you ate it, and it was either really good, or horrible (they were the knock off Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans). And he compared it to finding, how you can't know just by looking if someone will accept or not, but you have to actually talk to them and find out, and dig a little deeper. It was really good!
So then afterward, Sister Kerr and I put Elder Cook's training to the test. We had made plans to contact a referral that was just around the corner from the chapel, but we only had about 30 minutes before shift, and a TON of phone calls to make. But we followed our plans and left to contact the referral! It was in the POSHEST area, and she ended up not being home, but we were blessed later! We got back to the chapel, and a Chinese man came in who seemed SO interested. And he lived in our area! We showed his daughter and him God's plan and gave him a Book of Mormon, then set up another time to meet him. :) It was awesome!!
Then later that night, our investigator Aleksander came in. He is SO nice and has a very sincere desrie to learn. He's just having problems with his job and the moment and it makes it hard for him to meet with us often. But he really is SO great and sincere, and has SUCH a big heart!

Friday, our investigator Jarek came into the VC and we had a good lesson with him. He is from Poland, but is also having some job difficulties. We taught him lesson 3 and re-taught lesson 1 because he had some concerns. He stayed for about 2 hours so that was crazy!! But he is HILARIOUS and I'm really excited to teach him more. :)
After shift, we taught Jane, a recent convert who was baptised last transfer, and she is wonderful!! I swear she gets more than we do. Her spiritual maturity is incredible and I already love her so much!

Then that night, we went to contact some more referrals and do some finding, well....it was pretty fun haha. First, the first referral we went to was RIGHT on Exhibition Road and super posh. Then, we stopped this man with some dogs named Elias. And Sister Kerr was talking to him and I leaned down to pet the dogs (they were super friendly at first!) and then the bigger one snapped and tried to attack me! I almost lost my face! Hahahaha it was terrifying. His paw left a bruise, but other than that I was fine. And Elias became a new investigator and said he would come to church so it was alright. :) Sacrifices, right?
Saturday was fun. We had our VC meeting and breakfast, which is always great. Then Sister Kerr and I went to go contact another referral and his family in Hammersmith. They were home, but not interested. But we were in the cutest little area, and were able to stop and talk to a lot of great people. Then we went outside Hammersmith station and blitzed with the elders. We stopped some VERY interesting people haha. One was a homeless man who told us some fun stories about the planets and that he was a Klingon. Then as we were walking away he asked if he could pinch my cheek. I said no.. hahaha then we stopped another man who was SUPER interested and we are actually bringing him a Book of Mormon tonight! It was also raining all day and all we did was find. It was fun. :)
Sunday was great! I was able to bear my testimony in sacrament meeting, and we had a munch and mingle and so I was able to meet so many members. I loved it! I'm already so in love with this ward. The members are SO strong and welcoming. :) I'm just so excited to serve here!
Well! The church is still true. :) I love it here!! I'm so grateful for the opportunity I have to be a missionary and always testify of Christ. He is truly our Saviour and through Him, we can find peace. :)
Love you all!
Xx Sister Moody
