I FORGOT WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE AMERICAN

 May 25, 2015

Hello everyone!!

This week has been good! Although, as the subject expresses, I think
I've forgotten what America is like? I think in pounds, use words like
toilet, rubbish, bin, trousers, etc..., rain is normal, racing
motorists don't scare me, I look the other way when crossing the
street, and being SO far underground is normal. I think I love London.
:)

On Tuesday, we had a really cool miracle. We were making some phone
calls and making lunch, when some random number called us. We answered
and it was a random man who asked if I believed in God. I told him yes
completely and he began to ask a few more questions. He then told us
his name and said he was a former muslim, but was now atheist. I don't
really know how he got our number, but he said he wanted to learn more
about Christianity!! So we set up a time to meet and said a prayer
with him. It was just really cool! :)

Wednesday we had dinner at our ward mission leaders house. He is
Portuguese and so his mum made some delicious food. I felt like I was
home. :) I hadn't realized how much I missed the Portuguese culture.
:)

Jeuz, our online investigator, is doing so good!! He said the
missionaries taught him lesson one and he described it as BAM!! He's
great :)

Friday we had zone conference, and it was SO GOOD! :) I just love
being a part of the ELM. :) then we taught our investigator, Reza,
with a member, Sister Porter. He has investigated off and on for quite
some time, but this time he reached out to us. He is slowly
progressing, but still progressing. :) we taught him again after
church with Michael, the recent convert, and it was wonderful. Michael
is such a missionary!! He was bold and committed him to read a chapter
everyday. (Currently Reza loves church, but has a hard time seeing why
he needs to ale reading a priority.) he finally realized as Michael
bore his testimony. It was wonderful. :)

Yesterday, I gave a talk in Sacrament meeting on having a broken heart
and a contrite spirit. It went really well, I think!! Haha the
Whitechapel ward is amazing. I really, really love it. :) Then last
night we went on a blitz in Angel with the Elders. Sister Gjevik and I
talked to this really cool guy named Danny. He wouldn't give any
information, but he took a Book of Mormon, our info, and promised to
read and come to church. Hey, hopefully he will!! Miracles do happen.
:)

Remember the miracles less active I wrote about last week? So we
called him and the number didn't work...so we just hoped he would
call. I tried again a few days latter and it rang! But nothing
happened after that. Then about fifteen minutes later, HE CALLED US.
We were able to talk for a while a find a time to meet this week. :)

Well, I just love being a missionary. I love England and I know this
is where I need to be. Thanks for everything. :) until next time! :)

Love always, Sister Moody
