Hello everyone!!
Life here is great! I still love Whitechapel :) last Monday we ate at
a pub with the Zone Leaders and London North Sisters. Always delicious
:) Then we...crossed the river...into the London South Mission!!😁 We
got permission to go and see Elder Ohman and the hospital he is in is
just over the river. It was SO good to see him! Ah man I really love
the Ohmans. He is continuing to progress, they are just working on
getting him stable enough to go home. Keep them in your prayers!
So one of our investigators, Kemi, didn't come to church so on Tuesday
we stopped by to see her. She is almost impossible to get a hold of,
but by a miracle, she was home! We were able to have a wonderful
lesson about the Plan of Salvation. She is on date to be baptized on
the 30th, but is a little shaky with the date. She is so good though!
She will be baptized, it's just a matter of when/her feeling ready. :)
Wednesday we had a wonderful miracle!! We went to the library to
quickly get Wi-fi so we could find an address. As we were there, this
man came up handed us a pass along card, and asked if we were from
that church. We said yes of course!! And he told us that he had been
baptized in 1988 when he was 13, gone to scouts, done baptisms, but
had been inactive for 7 years. He said that, before we came in, he had
been on the computer and somehow come across the church website and
had been looking at temple pictures. Then he had a feeling that he
should go downstairs and we walked in!! And the day before he had met
Sister Ohman!! Such a miracle. So now we have his information and
hopefully we will be able to contact him again. :)
Friday we had a miracle in the VC!! Our goal for online time was to
find one really solid awesome investigator. We got on chat and started
talking to someone named Jeuz. He started asking some pretty simple
questions, and then as we started talking, he said that he had watched
the Joseph Smith movie, and was impressed by his kindness. We kept
talking and he finally just said "I have a fire burning in me now, I
have been praying, and I think I want to convert" AH!!! 😃 He just
isn't sure if his parents will agree, so we gave him the address to
the chapel and he went to church and said that he loved it!! :) so
good. :)
I got a cold/sinus infection/major cough this week. So that's no good...
A recent convert that was baptized last transfer, Michael, went to the
temple to do baptism for the first time on Saturday!!! He is amazing.
He was found, taught, and baptized within 3 weeks and no has already
blessed the sacrament and gone to the temple. :) He's the best!!
Yesterday was ward conference, which in Whitechapel, means MUNCH AND
MINGLE afterwards!! They are famous for their munch and mingles. It's
not just snack food, it's a proper meal with proper African food. :)
Oh man, I ate so much.
Today we played Badminton with the zone, and let's just say, I'm not
too shabby ;) hahahaha no really I'm not the good. But Elder Bastian
and I made it pretty far in the tournament!! So that was fun. :)
Well, I still love it here. I love every part of being a missionary.
:) I know it's all true. :) thank you all for everything!!!! Until
next week, ciao! :)
Love always, Sister Moody
