LIVING THE LIFE IN LONDON...LITERALLY!

Hey ya'll!!

(This will be short because I have like 0 time...)

Anyway!! Life is great!!! So I've been transferred back to the VC and
am now in the Whitechapel ward. :) it's the best!! Leaving Huntingdon
was hard, I won't lie. I cried...I love that place. ❤️ The day before
I left, we went over to the Tavares families house so I could say
goodbye to my 9 kids. However, Marinho, Alicino, and Herminho couldn't
make it (story later). So we briefly partied with Geo, Alberto, Albey,
Helder, and Ana!! I love them. We talked, took pictures, then I bore
my testimony and said goodbye. That was so hard!! All of them have
grown so much and have really changed my life. Before Huntingdon, I
was not the missionary that I wanted to be. But that place and those
people changed me. My confidence grew, my organisation improved, and
most importantly my testimony of the Atonement was strengthened. Which
leads me to the next story.

So Marinho was baptised in April. And he is the definition of a punk!!
Haha :) so he couldn't come to the little goodbye get together and so
I talked to him on the phone. I told how he had such an impact on me
and how proud Heavenly Father was of him and such, when he got really
quiet. I asked him if he was still there and in his broken English he
said "I'm...crying." In that moment, I felt like I finally truly
understood the joy of missionary work. Not because he was cryIng, but
because when I first met him, he was a crazy, rude, emotionless
teenage boy. But as we taught him, I truly saw how the Atonement was
changing him. I was immediately overcome with emotion because I feel
so privileged to have been able to witness his conversion. The
Atonement is REAL and can change anyone. I have seen it. I have felt
it in myself. As we submit our will to Gods, anything is possible and
the Atonement WILL refine us into the child of God that we were all
made to be.

So my new area is amazing. We meet for church in a school building
(The Royal Academy of London in Islington) in CENTRAL London. The area
includes Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Liverpool Street,
Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus, etc... We run to our big friend
Ben every morning, and we live just a stones throw from the British
Museum. Man!! I just love it. And the ward is AMAZING. Sooooo diverse
and so energetic and so wonderful!! My companion is Sister Gjevik from
Norway and I LOVE HER. We have so much in common. Like, crazy little
things too! Like the fact that we both like apples but hate eating
them. And just random things, as well as favourite colour, foods, etc.
yeah. This is a good companionship. :) we have a lot of fun. :)

Well, I'm running short on time! (We are going to a pub with the Zone
:)) so I LOVE YOU ALL!! Thank you for everything. :)

Also I will send pictures next week. Love you!!!

Love always, Sister Moody
