AND THUS ENDED THE 3RD YEAR OF THE REIGN OF THE JORDANS

Hello!!

This week has been crazayyyy. But so good. Tuesday, we had the best VC miracle. The elders brought in a young boy and we gave him a tour. We shared the Restoration and gave him a Book of Mormon, he said that he would read and seemed genuine, he also wanted missionaries where he lives to come and see him. So we got his information and off he went! But the next day he came back! And brought 3 friends!! He said that he had loved it and wanted to share it with his friends. :) We have been talking on Facebook and he says the Book of Mormon is so insightful and he really is loving it. So cool! :)

Thursday was the 3 week missionary meeting for new missionaries and their trainers. That was really fun. :)

Friday was an adventure!! So. Because our area is so large, and we only have half day to do a full day worth of work in our area, we usually plan geographically, so we can be most effective. Well, the times people could meet just didn't coincide and so we were EVERYWHEREon Friday haha. :) And it was one of the best days ever. We left theVC and had a lesson about an hour away (3 different trains...) with the former that came to church that I mentioned a few emails ago. She is the daughter of a member and has met with missionaries before. So we went and had an AMAZING lesson. We went over the Restoration and the Spirit was so strong. Then Sister Griffeth extended the invitation to be baptised (She's amazing :)) and after talking it through more with her, she agreed to set a date of July 25th!! SO exciting. And she came to church and loved it and she is just so wonderful. :) We are so excited to continue teaching her! :)
Then we had to race off to an appointment another 30 minutes, or 2 trains, away. We were having dinner with Rose and Michael and when we showed up, turns out it was Rose's sons birthday party! So we had the best Filipino barbecue ever. But the best part was the Tagalog being spoken, the crazy Karaoke, and the coupe of...drunk people. :) Haha it was fun. We were able to visit with a lot of people, and of course with Michael, the recent convert, who is doing amazing. :)
Then we journeyed on a 15 minute bus ride to visit a less-active, Sandra! She is so good! She wasn't feeling to well, so we didn't stay long. But we talked about the Sacrament and it's importance. She truly understands and has a testimony. She is really sweet. :)
THEN as we were walking back, we got MAJOR hit on. Hahahahahahahahahahahaha it was so funny. He was the bouncer for some club and he seemed a little scared of Mormons, but interested in the young Americans. But he was willing to talk about the Gospel so we kept trying! We had a really nice TTI (Teach, testify, invite) until at the very end, instead of wanting to learn more, he just looked Sister Griffeth in the eyes and said "Uh, will you be my girlfriend?" Oh man. I felt so bad! But she handled it so well. She just flat told him no. It was QUITE the experience. :)
Sunday, church was wonderful. :) Then after, we went to the Victoria/Pimlico area and just went ham at trying to contact "lost sheep" from the ward list. And we met some interesting characters. We were taking a cute picture of this cute street, when some guy carrying a pizza asked what we were doing. We explained that we were missionaries and he immediately "Oh no, I'm not interested. But where are you from?" We talked some more, and the smell of alcohol was just permeating the air. But he was SO NICE. So we had a really fun conversation, and as he left with his pizza he waved and exclaimed "Sister Moody, Sister Griffeth, BYE DARLINGS!!" We died. :) Then later, we were a little lost and so we asked this guy if he knew where Sheraton house was. He explained and the started talking about mixed martial arts, wealth, how he had three leaves, but only wanted one, his family, then he got his license out and asked us if it looked like him, then he just kept talking, asked if we wanted a beverage because he owned a place, property, fighting, apostles, churches, etc...Then he took of his sunglasses and stared us in the eyes. Needless to say, he wasn't...fully sober haha. :) He walked away laughing. It was THE funniest conversation ever, and we don't even know what it was about. :)

So the meaning being the subject...Wednesday we had a farewell conference, and Saturday we had a VC breakfast with the Jordans, because tomorrow we get a new mission president! I am SO grateful for President and Sister Jordan. They have changed my life and been the biggest support system. They have always been there for a firm handshake and loving hug on hard days, offered kind words of advice, phone calls, emails, texts, everything. I love them so much and am eternally grateful for their service and love. So as well, today is my 8 month mark, and I am not the same person I was 8 months ago. And they are part of the reason why. I am becoming the best version of myself and they have been there to help me along this path. Almost every time President sees me, he asks me if I'm being bold, and Sister Jordan will ask about my knee, because they truly care about all of us so personally, and lovingly. I'm so grateful for their friendship and example. I will always be one of the Jordan's missionaries. :)
But I am SO excited to also be one of the Steven's missionaries! I'm bursting with excitement to meet them. I KNOW that I will love them just as much. The Spirit has confirmed that they are meant to be here and I can't wait to get to know them. :)
Well! I love being a missionary. The end. :)
Xx
