Hola!
Sorry, I am very limited on time
today. We got caught in a wee bit of traffic on our way to the VC and it cut
into emailing time. So yeah. :)
But this week has definitely had
it's ups and downs! A lot of cancellations, rejections, weird people, etc...
But I have learned more than ever. The Spirit has a way of turning every bad
thing into an incredible testimony builder, and I'm so grateful. :)
We had an exchange this week! So I
ventured on up to the London North area with Sister Grant, from Finland! I was
with her on our last exchange as well, and I just love her. :) We talked to
this....interesting guy. Bright pink hair, orange sunglasses, lime green shirt
with pink sweater vest and red pants. And he kept winking at us. So strange.
But so hilarious. :) We taught a lesson to their investigator, and she is so
sweet! From Jamaica, and she was just a sweetheart. Then we had a dinner
appointment with an American family and a recent convert, and that was some of
the best food I have had thus far. It was Greek, I think. But it was SO good.
Then we had a first lesson with someone that the sisters had found, from
Hungary. He spoke VERY little English, so it was a lot of talking slow, and hand
signals. Then after ward he hugged us. #awkward (We can't hug doesn't translate
very well in actions and slow English apparently.) All in all, it was one of
the best exchanges I have every been on and I learned SO MUCH. :)
John has been having some struggles
this week. He doesn't quite feel like he is "cut out" to be a member,
so we are still working with him. He'll get there though! The Spirit is so
strong every time we talk to him, so we will keep trying and keep praying. :)
ANGELA CAME TO CHURCH!! Ah man I
love her so much. She is feeling a lot better, and we will be seeing her on
Wednesday.
Monday, we ate at Roses with
Michael, and she made me banana lumpia again. I was so happy. :)
We met the sweetest lady while
OYMing in Islington. So nice! So hopefully we will see her soon.
Also, as we walked out of Roses on
Monday, there was a plot of land that had bushes on it, and literally, like
10,000 spiders. Okay, maybe not that many, BUT THERE WERE A LOT. I have a
picture, but no time to send it, so I will next week. And I had a dream that I
was attacked by them. So, I really just don't like spiders. Never did, never
will.
Friday we had an AMAZING Zone
Conference. The spirit was like pudding-so thick and so good. We learned all
about the importance of the Sacrament and working with members. And Sister
Stevens gave a training on charity and love that made me cry. I just feel so
blessed to be serving in the beautiful and historic England London Mission. I
know that I am supposed to be here, with out a doubt. I know that my call took
7 weeks to come for a reason, so that I could be here at this exact time, and
meet these exact people. I love missionary work, but most importantly, I love
the Gospel. :) Truth Will Prevail!! (ELM motto. :))
Well! Sorry this is so short, I will
try and have more time next week, but you never know. :) I love you all!
Cheers,
Sister Moody
