JUST YOUR TYPICAL WEEK IN LONDON

Hello wonderful people! :)

Woot! I love being a missionary. :) So this week had it's ups and downs for sure! We just had a lot of cancellations or people not answering or not talking to us, etc...just, one of those weeks, you know? But it sure ended on a great note. :)

Wednesday we had a lesson with Sandra (less active). She is so sweet! We talked all about the temples and how we need to be obedient to be able to enter the temple. We really want to get her to church, so hopefully she will be able to come this week. :)

Thursday we had a really great district meeting combined with the London North district! That was really fun! Elder Chronister and Elder Francis gave great training and we had cake and cookies. I can't complain haha.

Friday we went to go visit a referral we had gotten (Cool story, so on Wednesday we got a phone call from a senior missionary in Leeds, and she said that there was the niece of a member who lived in our area, and her aunt wanted to send her missionaries. She's been looking for religion in her life, and her grandmother was also a very active member. So the aunt wanted us to come visit her. :)) Well! The aunt had told her we would be there around 4:30. But she wasn't there. So, that was rough. We didn't have a phone number so we left a note and went on our way. We then went over to Rose's for our weekly dinner with her and Michael (recent convert)! It was great! Rose is going out of town for like 7 weeks, so we will be missing her. :( She is our Momma Rose in London. :) I love her! We also had a great lesson about forgiveness and recognising answers. We watched "The Hope of God's Light" and there was just a great spirit. :) Then when we went home, we had the aunt of the referral give us Vivien's (her niece) number! So we were able to call and set up a time to see her Saturday night. :)

Saturday we went to The Book of Mormon musical to hand our books! It was so fun. There were supposed to be 4-5 companionships, but they all cancelled except us and the Whitechapel elders. So we went and between us 4, we handed out 4 boxes in like 20 minutes!! It was INSANE!! yeah, we had a lot of negative remarks, but we also talked to some AWESOME people, and had some funny experiences. I caught some guy trying to take a selfie with me in the background. So I just went up to him and asked if he wanted a picture. He looked pretty surprised, then said "YEAH!!" And so we took a selfie. I also had a man tell me he would marry me if he was straight. So that happened. Haha but it was really such a blast. It's a perfect place to practice boldness and get out of your comfort zone. :)

Then after we went and saw Vivien! And her friend John was there! She is SUPER sweet! We were just so overwhelmed with love for her. I'm really excited to continue to visit her. :)

So Sunday we went to correlation, and then had a lesson with Charles and his non-member fiancée, Chioma. It went SO good! Man! She is SO wonderful! We taught the Plan of Salvation and the Word of Wisdom, and she really seemed to love it. We are seeing her again this week on Saturday and Sunday, and her baptismal date is for the 26th, so prayers for her would be great! We will talk to her more on Saturday to see how she is feeling about it. :) Then after, we were sitting in Sacrament meeting, and Joaquim came in! We met him on the bus a little over a week ago, and he said he wanted to come to church, and he did! He could stay for the whole thing, but we are seeing him again on Tuesday. :) After sacrament meeting, we looked over and Kemi had snuck in! We haven't been able to contact her this whole week so that was so great. :)

Today we had a badminton tournament. It was legit.

I'm just so grateful to be a missionary at this time. What a blessing and opportunity to testify of the Saviour and His restored Gospel, all day every day. I love it here, even the hard days. I know this is where I need to be. I love you all! Thanks for everything. :)
