FAITH IS A PRINCIPLE OF ACTION

We missed our stop and ended up in the London South Mission, Whoops!

Hello!!

This week has been filled with some great things. :)

Tuesday was P-Day and we went to the Science Museum with the mighty
London North Zone. :) (so one of the perks of being in Whitechapel is
that you are in a different zone has the other VC sisters, but because
you are VC sisters, you get invited to all the Hyde Park Zone
activities, too!)

Wednesday we stopped by a lot of people from the ward list, no one was
home, but we got to explore a different part of our area! We were up
in the Marleybone area and it is POSH. Man, so cool. We went in some
interesting buildings, rang some posh buzzers, and had some fun. :)

Thursday...I don't really remember haha.

Oh! We had an online investigator message us and tell us that he is
getting baptised on the 24th!! He is SUPER excited and its soooo
great. :)

Friday we had district meeting combined with Stratford! I also found
out at 7 am that morning that I would be giving a training on
referrals so that was fun...haha but it was a great meeting!! Our new
district leader is Elder Castillion from the Netherlands and its a
partay.

Afterward we saw Vivien with the STLs and she is still just the
sweetest lady. We're not 100% sure of her accountability so we will
see her one more time this week and see.

Then we had dinner with Michael and Katie came. :) We had a great
lesson where we read 1 Nephi 7 and talked about Nephi's faith vs Laman
and Lemuel's.

Saturday we had the VC meeting and Sister Lung and I gave a training
about referring back to the Restoration with difficult questions
arise. It was fun. :) (So being in the VC and an online proselyting
missionary means that we get A LOT of troll questions) so we addressed
those and how we can go back to the plain and simple and pure truths
of the Gospel. I'm actually so grateful for the harder questions,
because it strengthens my testimony that he Gospel is where the
answers lie, and the simple truths are what matter. :)

Then we had an appointment with a man named William! Wilson (our ward
mission leader) came with us. It was really great!! William is so
nice. He already said he isn't prioritising religion, but that he
doesn't want us to give up on him. So we won't. :)

Then we saw Angela and had a great lesson with her. We talked about
the Plan of Salvation and how important it is to read and pray about
the Book of Mormon. I love her SO much!!!! She wasn't able to make it
to church but we called her on Sunday and asked her if she had read.
She said she had read Alma 32 and really loved it and had a lot of
questions. :) I also felt impressed to ask her about baptism, and we
set a date for December 5th!! She is so sweet and wonderful. I'm
excited and grateful to be able to continue to meet with her and help
in anyway that we can. :)

Sunday was stake conference and IT WAS AMAZING!! President Kearon
(Europe Area President) and Sister Burton (Relief Society General
President) were there and they have amazing talks. Afterward, Sister
Burton gave me the biggest hug ever and Elder Kearon shook my hand and
looked me in the eyes while he thanked me for serving. It w as an
incredibly humbling experience. Here I was meaning to thank HIM for
the amazing talk he gave, and he turned around and thanked me. What an
incredible example of Christ like leadership. I also had the privilege
of being in a missionary/YSA choir and it was so fun! We got to sit on
the stand and we sang some gorgeous arrangements of Choose the Right
and If You Could Hie to Kolob. :)

Also, Michael received the Melchizedek priesthood!! He is AMAZING. He
was baptised in April and has just been rapidly progressing since.
It's been such a privilege to know him.

Today I chopped my hair and I feel like a whole new person haha. Oh!
And President Stevens gave us permission to start an iCloud sharing
folder for pictures so if you want to be added into that let me know!!
:)

This morning I was studying a lot about faith and how it is a
principle of action. I was impressed when Nephi was feeling so down
and talking about how he felt his afflictions and sins were great, so
to overcome that he stood up, preached to his brothers, made a bow,
and hunted. He didn't spend time wallowing or dwelling on how down he
felt, he went and did. To me that is a perfect example of true faith.
We show our full faith when we get up and do, no matter the
circumstances. :)

Well I love you all!! I love being a missionary. :) Have a great week!!
