THE WEEK OF REFERRALS!

Hello!
Things in England are great! I love it here. I'm just so in love with London, it's crazy haha.
First off, our miracle for the week! On Sunday, we had a member ask us if she could come teaching with us (she is from France). We told her of course, and that we would call her the next day to let her know when (we had a couple of appointments and wanted to look them over first). The next day, we got a call from the Stratford elders and they gave us this POSH referral, Vincent. Elder Chew met him on the tube and invited him to church. He wasn't able to get his contact details, but then on Sunday, he showed up!! Turns out he lives in our area, so the elders passed him along. We called and he was SO nice. And...from France!! So we set up an appointment with him for the following Sunday before church, and then called the member. :) Well, he ended up getting called into work last minute, but was so apologetic and sincere, and so we will meet him this week. :) Elder Chew said that he is SO interested and we are REALLY excited to teach him. :) (And hey! I'll get to put my French into use a bit!)
This week was really just a crazy referral week. We had a couple of HQ referrals, and so we stopped by. Turns out they were addresses for these POSH businesses in the busiest part of the city. We walked in and had to go to security. The people at both places were in meetings, so we left the Book of Mormon at the desk. But it was just all....so posh and proper. Haha we also had to drop one of in the mail room and that was interesting.
Then we received some more referrals from other missionaries and were able to contact them. Some interested, some said maybe in the future, some not at all, so we shall see. :)
We weren't able to see Kemi, but talked to her via text message. She's not feeling ready for baptism, so we are postponing it for now. We'll talk to her more next time we see her. She's great!! Hopefully she will be able to receive the answers she needs.
We met with the CUTEST less-active this week. Ah, she is so cute. We love her!! We're going back on Saturday and she wants us to teach her how to conduct music. :)
We saw Angela on Friday, and talked about the Word of Wisdom. We made a plan with her to help her quit smoking. She is progressing really well!! Doesn't feel ready for baptism, but is keeping commitments and really growing. My love for her grows every time we talk, and I feel so blessed to be able to visit with her and help her. :)
I also hit my one year mark this week!! CRAZY. We celebrated with...district meeting!!! Haha but they all sang Happy Birthday so that was pretty fun. :)
My VC family!

Saturday, we had our training and Sister Lung and I talked about the trust the Lord has in us. We talked about how we need to be worthy of that trust, and we went through the call letter. Then we talked about using the Christus statue. I just feel so blessed to be able to serve in this Visitors' Centre!! It's nothing like I thought it would be, but it's 10 times better. It's hard, mentally exhausting, and I feel like I"m constantly thinking of 1,000 things. And I would trade it for anything. I love it here, and I KNOW this is where I am supposed to be.

Church was SO great! I LOVE WHITECHAPEL!! This ward is just amazing. And then after we had a member give us another referral so life is just great. :)
Well! Today we sang for p-day. :) There is about 17 missionaries who are in a traveling Christmas choir! So in December we will get to travel around the mission and perform.  I'm SO excited!! And today we were singing a song called "In the Bleak Mid Winter" and the second and fourth verses really hit me, they are "Our God, heaven cannot hold him, nor earth sustain; heaven and earth shall flee away when he comes to reign. In the bleak midwinter a stable place sufficed the Lord God Almighty, Jesus Christ.

What can I give him, poor as I am? If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb; if I were a Wise Man, I would do my part; yet what I can I give him: give my heart"
I'm so grateful for this Gospel. Mostly I'm grateful for our Saviour, Jesus Christ. This is His work, and I am so humbled to be able to wear His name. I love England, I love the people here, and I love being a missionary. :)
Have a great week!!

This is how we do our weekly planning!
